As soon as I arrived in Las Ramblas, the city was just as vibrant as I had expected it to be: the swarms of multi-coloured street performers ranging from human statues to exotic dancers; the beautiful mosaic that covered the floor and even a street artist offering to paint my portrait. Excited chatter consumed the streets as we strolled towards the towering Liceu theatre eager to go and watch the ballet.
